Go for the DDM. I have purchased four sets of them. Never had one issue other than some FM radio interference in my SRT8 fog lamp set up.
The only car I have which does not have factory HID lighing is an 2008 XC70. When I recently drove it at night, I felt like I had dark sunglasses on. As the headlight unit and wiring harness is prorietary, I'm going to install a DDM 35watt H8 4500k kit in the fog lamp to "aid" in night vision this Saturday. We'll see how that goes.
Things to consider -
55w is only suitable for a larger light housing. The heat these things generate is massive. You will melt a smaller plastic housing with extened use with a bulb pushed to 55 watts.
They are all illegal for on-raod use.
The halogen housings are not designed to utilize a bulb this lumen output. These lights generally just blast high intensity of light in every direction, nothing is focused or razor sharp as is a factory set up. Still a major improvement in most cases.
You may get AM/FM radiop interference.
4000-4500k pushed to 35 watt looks about factory. To me, 6000k does not.

www.ddmtuning.com Ive put HIDs on EVERYTHING ive had (audi, bmws, volvo, toyota, Hayabusa) and always bought through them.
Buy the 55watt kit for 50 bucks. Check your bulb type.
Takes me about 5 mins for the complete install (just like changing bulbs. the only thing you need to do is get some tin cutters and cut a small hole out of the hella light cover to fit the wires and lock it in.
I tend to go with the 6k on everything i buy. Gives it a White/Blue look (looks factory).
