have used 960 need audio code Topic is solved

I have a used Volvo 960 and i don't have the audio code. We had a bad rain and my windows were left down and i couldn't get them rolled up in time i think something must have shorted in the stereo and now it is asking for an audio code. How do I get this i would like to listen to my radio again! HELP PLEASE!!!

I also have a 960 and I just called the dealer gave them the VIN and they gave me the code. If you have already tried a code three times then you will have to put the key in position 1 of the ignition and leave it there for 2 hours before you can enter the code. Make sure the lights radio and A/C are off. Hope this helps

Thanks a bunch. I've just been trying different numbers everytime i was allowed to put in a code. but i will call the dealer. THANKS!!!

when wrong code entered, radio switch's to OFF. Is supposed to allow reentry after 2 hours. NO. disconnect battery again, you can then reenter correct code
