Here's the lates aquisition.... always wanted a 960 wagon, but in Canada, far and few between. So, searched long and hard for a good 960 sedan. Saw lots of them, some toooo expensive, some didn't run. Then one day, while driving by an industrial complex with mechanic shops, I saw her... rear end sticking out at me as if to say "here I am". Good thing my wife wasn't with me! anyway, dropped in to shop to inquire, and the story goes like this... mechanic has worked on the car for past 10 years, since about 100,000 kilometers. Previous owner drove it until 300,000 kilometer then decided to sell it. the mechanic had another who bought it for his daughter going to college. And can you believe it,she didn't like it. So, here it is, looking for a new home. After a quick inspection and good test drive, and $1500.00 she was mine. With over 300k (kilometers) I needed to confirm the major service stuff was done, and the mechanic supplied most of the reference.

She's not perfect, but that's why I got it. Perfect for the price!

Wildlifeguy, good work. You're a textbook example of finding a good Volvo sample for low cost. Success in buying a used Volvo is all in the sample you buy, forget a particular model's reputation.

She looks ravishing.

97 855 R
16x,xxx
stock
had it for about 45 days
DONE *new OEM plugs, wires, cap, rotor, tailight, bulbs, fixed corner light, HiD's, replacement fog light, 2nd row booster seat added, cargo hold down net, blacked out grill
REALLY needs to be cleaned and detailed so i can figure out if it is RED or RED
The center caps are crap so i am scraping/ cleaning them and then putting on some "Raging Bull-Moose" stickers on them, polishing roof moldings, maybe making my own mesh grill and inserts this week and eventually molding and casting some special R emblems. I plan to finish a full tune up,install a boost gauge maybe PLX OLED OBD2, improve the brakes, K&N, save for a tune and full exhaust, refinish some of the leather pieces, add a wagon wing, v70 wipers, grey dye trim, professionally re-tint the windows
If i can get out to an autoX anytime i would be very happy, this is the family mobile and the wife's DD though so things will go slowly.........
