93 850 glt wont start

93 850 glt wont start

i just got a 93 850 glt manual traney and it wont start i put new fuel pump in it so it has fuel pressure to rail and it is geting spark but wont start . i can spray starter fluid in and it fires no problem . im going to put new injectors on tommorow but i need some ideas of what it is or could be some 1 please have the answer for me thanks

I would have a chat with the OBD computer first before you start trying to guess. If the car knows that anything is wrong with it, it will be hiding in port A2, but check A6 as well.

Pull out a spark plug after cranking for a few seconds. Is the cylinder wet/smell like gas? If you're sure there's fuel being injected (it could be a bad cam position sensor or fuel injection relay causing the injectors not to fire), it might just not have enough compression to start. Hold the gas pedal to the floor and crank it for ~45 seconds or until it begins to catch.
