2001 S80 2.9 125k miles - headlight issue

Recently had dipped beam failure message. Replaced the bulb and still the drivers side dipped beam is not working. High beam works fine though (same bulb or both). Check the fuse, looked fine, but replaced anyway...still not working. Any suggestions?

Check the plastic connection on the end of the harness that plugs into the bulb. They get brittle and fail. I picked up new harnesses at the dealer spliced in the connector off the new harness and plugged back in. All has been well for 20k.

Thanks. I ended up replacing all of them and they're all now operable. Two of them completely disintegrated in my hands while I was pulling them off the bulb...

Now on to my next projects for this vehicle, which are numerous to say the least.
