ABS & SRS lights on

Post by VolvoFreak »

Okay, my ABS light is now on and I'm pulling a few codes:

124 - RH rear wheel sensor, faulty signal at speed < 25
314 - RH rear wheel sensor, open / short circuit
324 - RH rear wheel sensor, intermittent signal at speed > 25
444 - No power supply to hydraulic modulator valves

For a test, I cleared all codes and went for a ride. The ABS flickered at startup and came back on steady and I took a lap around my little village as speeds up to 40mph. When I got home, I read the codes again and got a 314 only. Should I replace the speed sensor on that wheel or is there something else you all suggest?

As for the SRS light, is there a way to diagnose that? I didn't see anything in my Haynes book...

Thanks!

Okay, it seems that I've fixed the SRS light. I found that the socket is B5, so I checked the code(s) and it was pulling a 222. I'm not really sure what that is, but it seems that my car had a bunch of codes stored in the computer when I bought it that had been fixed, but not cleared, by the previous owner, so I cleared the 222 code and went for a ride. The light didn't come on and the code never came back. :)

The ABS light is still as bright as ever though.

Also, I wanted to check the tranny codes, but ran into something odd. I did the same routine as with any other socket, but when I used the A1 socket, the little led light was always on (all be it dim) and wouldn't pull ANY codes at all, not even a 111. thoughts?
