Where to tap in to install a boost gauge?

How to go faster, stop quicker, and turn harder. Chips, exhaust, larger turbos, bigger/slotted/drilled rotors, high performance brake pads, manual boost controllers, performance shocks/struts/springs, airbox mods and more! Also discussion on HID and Xenon lights, aftermarket foglights and other exterior lighting.

Got a quick basic question:

Where would I tap into to install a boost gauge?

find a spot on your boost line and place a t-fitting in it, then run the boost line through da firewall, then snake up along (neatly) the door/weatherstripping then run the electric from your gauge to your headlight controls- make sure to do some research for the s80 to get everything you need and also make sure you have a nice tight seal between the boost /vacuum line and the gauge with the crush washers that should compress and snug when you tighten up the supplied hardware to the gauge. Also please make sure to get a nice gauge that registers vacuum as well as boost or it's useless IMO

I hooked my boost sensor tubing to the vacuum tree above the throttle body, worked great and there were open ports for "expansion" left by Volvo, just pull off one of the caps and slide your tubing over snugly.

Thanks, appreciate the feedback.

This is going on my "projects list"

I wonder if any of the parts sponsors has a kit for the S80...

I just looked up the IPD Gauge/Pod kit and there are PDF install directions right there. They're tapping into the line connected to the factory gauge and that way everything is kept in car. It seems smarter that way - any drawbacks to not going right off the intake manifold tree?

Don't think there's a tree on the S80- like one poster said, tap into one of the lines with a "T."

There's a vacuum tree on my manifold, right near the throttle body. 3-4 ports available...
