Fault Codes

Post by Rivdog »

:D

Hi All!,

I have 1999 V70 (non-turbo) which is getting a check engine lite turned on. My mechanic friend checked it out using an AST scan tool. He gets the following fault codes which there seems to be no documentation for:

P1081, P1059, P1021, P1027, P1017, and P1028

Does anybody have an idea what these codes are or where we could get more info on them?

Thanks, Rivdog

I borrowed an OBD-II reader from AutoZone and read the following: P1021, P1054, P1057, and P1081. These all seem related to fuel air metering according to the OBD reader. The guys at AutoZone said it is an O2 sensor. Given that the car has two (before and after the catalytic convertor), how do you know which one to replace?

Thanks,
Erik

i'll suggest that you clear all codes and see if they come up again.

Here is a link to look up any OBD II codes:

I would erase them all as vicneyra suggested.
