The amp is used for wagons with the "on glass" antenna on the rear side windows.
Your 4 door just has a power mast at the rear left of the car. ( BTW, how's the AM? )

There are two vertical bars on the lower sides of the radio face. Push them in just a little
and they unlock and pop out to become handles. The whole "cube" just slides right out.
To see if it's an antenna or a tuner problem, find a substitute antenna and try that.
It plugs right in at the back of the radio. Dont unplug the radio unless you have the code.
If the radio loses power for any reason, it locks up and only the 4 digit code will wake it up.
In many cases, the number will be written right on top of the radio.

If the FM is OK, check your antenna connections fore and aft. Just reseating the connector
at the radio may get it, but I'd be more suspicious of the connection back at the antenna.
If a known good antenna gives you the same wait time, you may need a new radio... :(

AM is working fine and I do have my radio code. I called a local Dealer here asked for the parts dept and they instantly gave it to me. The antennae is new BTW. And I mos def have an amp back there.
I hate it when people compare me to a person I don't like
