popping sound in front end

I have a 2002 V70XC. I have a popping sound that comes from the front end on the passenger side of the car when I turn. It mostly happens when I turn slow or on rough roads like a gravel driveway. What could be causing this? And as far as cost what could I possibly be looking at?

strut spring seats? bushings? cost, have a alignment shop eyeball it. 250/1500 USD
.2003, V-70,. 2.4T, 101,100K..
.1985, 245T,.sold at 280K....
.1974, 145, sold at 250K....
