I'm not sure where you are in Missouri but if you have the ice and snow that I have had over the last couple of weeks you may have just broken the mast which is at the Genesis of the thread. Cheap and easy fix if that is the case. The only way to tell for sure is to remove the nut on the quarter panel and see if the mast will come out. The ferrule will fight with you to come loose from the top of the main power antenna assembly but it can be persuaded.
