Ok. The fuel gauge has me stumped. It goes to about 1/3 of a tank and stays there. No mater what the actual fuel level is. Help?
Also, the drivers side seat has all power, but the passenger side has none? Fuses checked, all good.
I would like to get that fuel gauge right. It feels like I am using the rhythm method for not getting pregnant using the odometer to time fuel...

The fuel level problem is likely the tube type sending unit hung for some reason. No quick fix for that one and probably no fix that doesn't involve a new sending unit.
I'm not trying to be offensive with something obvious but is the STOP button hung on RH seat? IF it is a memory seat it doesn't have this and the power seat module has it shut down for a fault. does any function of the seat even twitch a little when the control for it is moved?

I am a novice. the seat stop button is not depressed and there is no sound at all when I activate any control.
As for the Fuel gauge.....is the sending unit a screw on in the truck hatch? Is it all one pc?

sooooo, i see an idea to blow out the tube coming from the gas filler....i think what?????
I give it a shot and nothing....the fuel gauge is still at 1/3rd. I am driving along then look down and guess what....the gauge is now working? What was that? anyone?

You may have dodged the bullet on sender (for now).
The gauge system has a time delay built into it to prevent the gauge being over active just because you go down a steep drive or go round a High Five ramp too fast and sling all the fuel to one side.
My former 1995 960.............................(pause in remembrance of a fallen Viking) had funky sending unit for a long time. I went to the trouble to remove it and found nothing wrong. The float would go full travel in the tube with no sign of binding and there was no signs of wear or breakage on the resistor rods it has contact with. It seemed to be working well near the end...sniff sniff.
The power supply connection for the power seat is under the outboard front bracket cover. The cover has a TX 25 screw.

I had the same problem on my 97 960 wagon. We ended up having to replace the sensor. Mine would only go down to half a tank. Husband didn't believe me until he ran out of gas in the middle of the street! HA HA

Ouch...that could leave a mark!
Here is another wacky deal. to solve the power seat problem, it was suggested that I start the car, open the driver's fuse box and tap the power supply A with the handle of a screw driver......
