from 850s to 01 V70 XC, what should i know?

Hi guys,
Im current having T5 and R but just saw someone selling his 2001 V70 XC 2.4T with 85k for a good deal. Im actually like the design on this model but totally have no idea about problems and concerns. Can you guys pls give me a short brief about this model? Might need to make a quick decision, pls help

It's an 01, AND an XC.

RUN AWAY!

I'm stealing this from another post, but:

01-02's had 2 major trouble spots (3 for AWD):

1) Transmission. As jda2000 said, slightly better on the 2002 models if well taken care of. The 2001 ones have a stop-neutral feature that jerks the car in and out of gear every time you stop, and they all end up dying.
2) Electronic throttle - these all also fail; the question is just when. If it has been replaced under recall, you should be OK for a few years.
3) Mechanical AWD system can be problematic and expensive to fix if not properly cared for. The bevel gear and driveshaft are common failure points, begin making noise, and most people just end up running the car as FWD models.

It's cheap because it's probably a piece of crap like 90% of all 2001's.
