Can one change a convertible top's color?

Can one change a convertible top's color?

I found a good used canvas top for my car and it is blue, can it to dyed black? Just don't want to spend hundred's more for a new black canvas.
Drive it till the wheels fall off... then put them back on!

Technically yes but I would not recommend this.
It being such a high wear irem I can almost guarantee you it won't ask but I will ask my interior repair and dye people, their coming over today and let you know what they say.
The actual price of a top kit is not too bad, it's the INSTALLTION that costs the big bucks

Thanks for the reply. I've installed several Saab 93 tops and think I can handle this car. I'll find out soon.
Drive it till the wheels fall off... then put them back on!
