I don't know too much about the ECU pal, but I do know they use the exact same radiator, fans, aircon radiator etc. The intercooler is very slightly different so I don't know if that will work with the P1 engine. Good luck!

I looked through spec book on those two and it looks like injectors are only engine management component that is different. I think your old injectors in the new motor fixes any incompatibility problems. The engine performance may not be optimized since ignition timing programs may differ but it will be roadworthy in spite of issues like that

You may find some outfit that can do ECM performance re-flashing. You may try adjusting wastegate rod. Shorten rod 2 or 3 turns and see what that does.
IS the turbo from old engine in usuable condition?
The T4 engine turbo may be a bigger unit worth a bit of OOMPH.

i will try adjusting the wastegate rod,the seals have gone in the old turbo but it is the light pressure one anyway.the one fitted to the engine just now is the high pressure turbo.am i right in saying this is the better of the 2 turbo units? thanks

I guess I had the engine designation crossed up. I thought it was a low pressure engine replacing a high pressure/higher output engine. Maybe the original injectors should be put back in the new engine first to see if that wakes things up without hurting idle and cold start.
