Amost a year ago, after reading dozens of posts one said, "Someone ought to do something about this." Since I have the time, talent and inclination I said, "Call me someone." I am getting somewhat tired of the fight but will continue until we get some resolution but I donwant this forum to be lean and mean with out a lot of -----.
Pardon the rant but lets stay on subject.
I am new to this moderator stuff. I understand that I have the power to delete messages. I do not have time or inclincation do deal with any subject other than what directly related to the Volvo ETM made by Magneti Marelli. Also, my web site has a lot of information, check out there.. I will try to keep it up to date so check there first for answers. We should start hearing the official word from Volvo and probably a report from NHTSA.
I wrote Dana Micheletti, the California lawyer. They want a recall and VEXED wants a redesign. We might do well to try for an alliance.
Let's keep on subject
1) Talk about the symptoms of the failure.
2) Tell of good luck you have had in getting your car fixed.
3) Pass on any information from VOLVO about the 10/200k warranty.
4) Quote with the source any articles in trade journals, newspapers, TV reports and Volvo documents.
5) I am not interested in past history with Ford, Volvo, Kia or Yugo, Just the 1999, 2001 and some 2002 Volvos.
I will be away from my desktop and my wife is getting jelous so I will refrain rom being on the net for a week or so.
