Anti-skid & ABS light.
Anti-skid & ABS light.
Last year I replaced the DCM Differential Control Module in my XC90, I got the anti-skid needs service message when it went bad. Now I get the same message, Anti-skid needs service, Anti-skid is temp. disable. I get this message everytime I am on the highway, but when I drive around town I don't get it. When the message appears after I have been driving in the highway I would stop, turn off the engine wait about 10 minutes, start the car ( the message is still displayed) and when I engage the transmission and drive off the message disappears and everything is normal. ANY IDEAS????? I was thinking there maybe a loose connection or wire.
UPDATE! I have noticed that the "Anti-Skid needs service" message comes on when the vehicle goes over 50 MPH, and when I shut off the engine and restart it the message disappears when the vehicle is in gear and starts to go. The message won't appear unless I go over 50 mph. Anyone have any ideas?

Have you looked in the manual to see if it specifies whether that message means the traction control feature of the ABS is disabling itself? Otherwise it should be the message for the electronically controlled AWD system.
The Haldex AWD system cars (2002 S60 and ALL from 2003 onwards) didn't get the ability to warn you of being diabled until recently manufactured or some recently reloaded of the ones predating the intro of the warning in production.
In any case, a shop with full vehicle readout capabilities needs to see what codes are in the vehicle that will shed light on what is causing the message.

Hi guys,
Here is the results, the dealer replaced the right front abs sensor, toner wheel and the YAW module. that module is located under the front passenger seat. I had an issue last summer with the sun roof drain clogged up but I didn't notice water on the floor. the bill was $1K. Everything works now.
