So you're not throwing away $50 at a part you don't need (yet), try fiddling with the key once the car is started first to see if your ABS module starts working. You can really change the switch out at any time if it is that.
I'm through with Jeeps - at the rate my dad's '05 Liberty is falling apart, I'd never buy a new one. They finally did themselves in when they discontinued the old 4.0 and the models that went along with it. If I end up moving up north in the future, I'll be getting a good old Cherokee like we used to have
