The relay is mounted right next to the pump and is probably best seen from the underside of the car. To help, it looks quite similar to the fan relay which is mounted above the radiator.

Did you find the relay? I was told the same thing about it being one of the relays on the fan shroud.

Yeah it snowed here too and is cold as a mutha right now. When you crawl under you ride it's right under air pump, you have to drop the skid panel down to see it, it looks just like the big relay on the fan shroud but the prongs are a little different.

Only one relay on the fan shroud - and it's for the fan.

Mine has two and one of them looks just like the sir pump relay. The air pump relay is located right under the air pump itself, drop the front skid plate down, it's the skid plate connected to the front ground effect. n Look on the battery side and you'll see the relay with the air pump right behind it, you can't miss. It will take you all of about five minutes to change it out...taking a tire off is more complicated than changing this relay, lol.

So here is the deal on my s70. The only wires coming out of the pump are the ones that go to the connector. The connector is located just behind the driver side headlight. I don't have the configuration shown where the relay and ground coming out of the pump are located right next to the pump. So where is the relay? Hate to think that I have to go to a dealer, yikes!!!! :o

on our 96 the relay was actually zip tied to the pump, the first time the pump threw a code it was for a loose wire in the relay, fixed it 6 months later another code...dead pump (that only runs for less than a 120 seconds upon start up) and it remained that way until we traded it...no performance issues. good luck!

I'll take a look at my S70 tonight; I did that over 3 years ago and can't remember where the relay is to be honest.
