brake bleeding

brake bleeding

i just replaced the brake booster in my s60.
if i do a gravity brake bleed will i need to pre bleed the mc first?
also, do i need to bleed the abs?

You do need to pre-bleed MC for sure. Not sure about the ABS. I don't think so though.

cool thanks for the info. thats the good thing about brakes...you'll know pretty soon if ya got it right hahaha

im guessing the only way to avoid bleeding the mc is to use a pressure bleed?

the booster job could have been done without disconnecting the brake lines, thus no need to bleed them.

how can you take the mc off the booster without disconnecting the lines? theres no way to get the booster out without at least disconnecting the abs lines...

I did the replacement myself a couple of months ago and I did not disconnect the hydraulic lines.

I am glad I learned this tip from a volvo tech at another forum, just before I did the job.
