xemodex installed , still low RPM
Please help ! I installed new xemodex ETM , new Mass Air sensor Bosch and new MAP sensor (Bosch) on my S60 2001. The behaviour of my car changed 90%. But still have some troubles! When accelerate there is no more jumping/dropping/stalling. But when coming to a stop the RPM jumps a little bit over 1100 and drops immediately to 650/700 stabilizing in a few milliseconds around 720-750 RPM. I changed spark plugs and the Turbo control Valve with IPD good one. Replaced the vacuum lines on this Valve with blue silicone ones. Changed the air filter too. Might somebody know how the idle can be brought to original 847 RPM ? You know , when is low RPM I have to let the car go itself engaging in the first gear then push the pedal and it goes like a bullet. BTW , the car has only 83000 km. Any help will be much appreciated!

Did you verify any of those parts as being faulty or did you just start replacing parts that could cause the symptoms you were experiencing? Have you verified the RPM with something other than the dash mounted tach? ...The surge is RPM makes me think that the tranny is remaining engaged as you slow down.
Rayman,
I had bad symptoms ! Went to Volvo dealer , they scrambled my mind to pay 200 bucks for ETM cleaning , the car was still under that 200k warranty, the fluctuations were crazy before..... Following my feelings and some search I thought it's better to replace the MAS in the same time with the ETM. I went personal to xemodex guys , discussed with them and then I bought the ETM . They are at 50 miles from my house. I removed 8 litres from tranny fluid and replaced in 2 sequences with Volvo expensive stuff. Yesterday I was at Volvo dealer and they said there is availbale for 150 bucks an upgrade software for my tranny . Is this any good ?

I bought this car a month ago for a very good price. I'm a handyman and for me was easy to replace myself the ETM. (paid only 550 bucks for it instead of 1200 asked by dealer !). To have this item failed in the no man's land it's the worst nightmare for me.

Have you contacted Xemodex to ask for their input?
Not certain but to my understanding you still require the ETM to be matched to your engine/VIN via software install.
Thse ETMs suit a number of models and should have appropriate software for your model installed.

XemodeX did help with some advise and some computer tests. Went back to dealer , they reloaded the software in both (ETM and ECM ) and told me that PVC is clogged . Paid another $400 for nothing . The RPM is still low. I'm going to replace the PVC system with new parts. Do you , people think that will change something ?
