FWD 05 S60 2.5T Rear Wheel Hub Assembly removal

Post by bichonlover »

My passenger rear has the wow wow wow affect so bad my 2 year old covers his ears in the car. I need to replace the rear hub assembly, have ordered 2 so I can do both. I need to know how to do it, and what tools I need to have? Any help would be great.

Pictures in the link you provided don't look anything like the hub assembly on my car. I have 4 bolts on the back of the hub, the spline shaft doesn't go all the way thru the hub assembly. Any further advice would be great!!!!

I got it done, fixed the load noise issue, it's rolling back smoothly down the road again, and I'm happy with the out come. Wasn't nearly as bad as I thought it was going to be, and doing the work myself was satisfying, and way less expensive then what the dealer wanted at $600.00 per side. My cost was approximately $200.00 for the entire axle !!!!!
