Battery Drain

Post by g4gvb »

Can anyone tell me how much current the alarm system should draw from the main battery while its in standby (in other words while the car is locked after all the systems have settled down)? On a V70 2001

Not that much. I would say only a couple of milliamps. Is your battery dying on you?

Thanks for the reply - No its not dying (yet), but if I go away for a couple of weeks and leave the car I don't want the battery to go flat (as my merc used too) I can't find much info on current drain, my best estimate on what I have found is around 25mA. So I'm just trying to get that figure verified or corrected.
