Hello, new to the 1800 with my first 1965 P1800s. The fuel tank was disconnected because no key for the filler door. I need to find out how the filler was connected to the tank. At the end of filler side there is a large fiberglass build up, is there a rubber hose that connected to the tank or has this been cut off. I think I may just cut off the end piece and connect the two with a suitable hose. Any info would help.

Turns out the fiberglass was the rubber connection that was stuck.
