Volvo S60 2004 remote key fob problem ...
As a last resort, with the key at the door lock/unlock car 3x in a row.
This will reset the UEM wich controls the locking/security system in the car. If that fails you probably need a new fob from the dealer.

Just had this problem on my wifes 2002 S60 and fixed it. (it consistantly took 3 button pushes for door lock and unlock)
What didn't work for me: Door lock/unlock 3 times; battery disconnect for 30 seconds, hood slam; new battery in remote; and, getting really close to windshield.
What worked: tapping the unlock about 10-15 times really fast and doing same with the lock button. No kidding. I don't understand either.

I'd like to hear about this too, as I have only two fobs, and would like one "for the garage" where we park the car.polartx wrote:So can you use the Vida/Dice utility to program a fob? If so where at? I bought an 03 S60 with no fob, I'd like to buy a used one and program it with the Vida/Dice but not sure how.

2010 v50: Smaller, slightly sportier wagon. Its got a spoiler, so I upgraded with sway bars!
