Thanks for the clarification guys. I knew about the OBD-II in the cabin i was just thinking this was something else. I'll take it in to autozone have them do it. And yes, I've learned the oxygen sensor trick a while ago

Wow, I got lucky on my 850, I looked under the change holder and low and behold, there was an OBD II connection sitting right there and it works beautifully....them Volvo people sure don't waste any time!!!!!!!
