noisey heater buzzing from behind the dash
I've just bought a 2005 v70 last week.Yesterday i noticed a buzzing noise coming from behind the dash,it sounded like the power steering pump.I took the car to my local garage and he pointed out that it was the heater buzzing but only when on max heat, turn it to cold and it stops .Is this a common fault?if so how to fix ?

the first thing to inspect is the air filter for climate system. On left hand drive cars it is under a cover that is below right hand side of dash. You remove the under dash panel and then the cover is foward and horizontal facing the floor. It is held by torx screws. Removal is by sliding it down and bending it a little to remove.
On RH drive it may be reversed and on left side.

Took my v70 in for service, and the noisey heater was because of the climate control being out of sync. One side would blow hot then cold without me touching anything, this was the buzzing noise i heard,it was the motor switching from hot to cold. They just plugged it into the computer and reset it, and it's been fine since. Better still they didn't even charge me for it Woo Hoo.
