Mystery Air Leak Is Back...

Post by kartman01 »

Well, my mystery cold air leak is back... I am interested in getting any information on the 'fuse box cover' on the firewall (engine side) which is also apparently right above the gas pedal...

Apparently there is a fuse box cover of some type that is either loose or not sealing properly. My question: is this something I can fix myself? How does this cover attach? Are there any tricks or tools to help seal it better so that air cannot leak past?

In not certain if the cover needs to be replaced with a new one, or if the existing one simply needs to be fastened better by the technician and/or other sealing steps taken...

If anyone has any photos or images of the cover, that would be most helpful!

Any ideas on what I would need to do to try and fix this myself would be appreciated... I am assuming this involves removing the windshield wiper arms and plastic cowl... not certain if anything else in involved...

Thanks in advance for ANY help!
