I can not wait to go pick up my new v70 t5 manual. Purchased off ebay very rare and a great price. Mileage is 150,xxx and I have to drive it about 500 miles back home to have a dealer look at it. I know the belt was done at 105k, and i know i will probably need to invest in suspension parts..maybe even PCV work. If you guys have any info at all on what to expect or tips on anything at all please let me know! I used to have an automatic 01 with a bad tranny but i totaled it. I'm overly anxious for this one, after all mechanical items are taken care of im going for a light/moderate window tint and rear spoiler.

first off i have to say i dislike you! haha kidding, Congrats! i am looking for a S70 T5M i have a T5 auto which i love but i want a 5speed dang it! anyways just get that belt changed, water pump to be safe, PCV, Fluids changed out just to be safe, Break, power steering and transmission and clutch. and have a compression and leak down test done that way you will have a good head's up of what shape that motor is in, i don't trust anyone word on what's been done to a car, other than that i say enjoy having some real fun!

nope, 01 02 the auto trans sucked!! garbage! but the manual's will run for ever! same with the motor's you take care of it and get things taken care of before they go bad then it will never leave you stranded.

could be many things, Wheel Sensor, the ABS module, abs pump. there are many components to the Traction Control system, take it to a Volvo shop that has a good proper computer reader, and have them pinpoint what is wrong then let us know

Welcome! I too jest recently picked up an 01 V70 T5M with about 140k on the clock. I have spent the last 6 months getting it back to stage zero and modifying it. I am loving every drive I make with it. I would suggest you look over te PCV system thoroughly and perform the latex glove over the dip stick test to see if the breather system is clogged. I would also suggest you install a manifold pressure gauge to help keep an eye on engine performance/health. These are fairly easy, mechanically speaking, to work on. I recenly installed an R manifold, 3" DP, and an OBX cat-back. Not much comes close to the sound of a turbo charged 5 cylinder at wide open throttle. Let's see some pictures of your ride! Here is a pic of mine. Came with factory sub/amp and PO installed Koni FSD's. Image

yes i did and boy am i disappointed or what? The car was in great mechanical cond. but the paint was absolutely vandalized took it to a body syhop and they quoted me almost 3k to fix it!! I'm highly upset, the paint looked so clear in the pictures online, the interior is in horrible condition, the seats are torn and all! NEVER BUY A CAR ONLINE WITHOUT SEEING IT FIRST
I am absolutely frustrated right now. I was ripped off

Do you still have the ebay ad? you can make them take it back or pay to get it fixed, called false advertisement, I know ebay has protection against that.
