Climate Control Module

Everything on the Volvo S80. Sometimes called an "executive car", the S80 was Volvo's top-of-the-line passenger car. P2 platform.

Climate Control Module

Post by slzutter »

CCM has stopped working. No fan, no temp control, no air distribution selection. No heat or AC. Had some work done & battery drained down. It was jump stsrted & let run to charge up. Later, no CCM. My mechanic found reference to this problem that said this could happen when changing the battery. Gave a process to reset. Disconnect battery, touch cables together, reconnect battery. lock & unlock drivers door repetedly. Didn't work. Any thoughts?

i had the same exact thing happen to my S80 last month. I too had the reset process performed with no luck. I'v jump started this car before without any problems. Volvo dealer ship told me that sometimes reistallation of software can work to fix it. If not the whole unit needs to be replaced at $1000-$1300.

Just one question--was the ignition in position II when the battery was reconnected?
