timing belt tensioner. auto or hydro?

ok, i have my engine out. im replacing it with one from a '98 v70 with 58,000 miles on it. im changing the timing belts on them since it is easier while i hve the motor out. my old engine w/140,000 miles on it has the old hydrolic tensioner on it. the one im putting in has the newer maual tensioner. i have done some reading on these tensioners and have read that the newer manual one sucks. lucky for me i did the reading because i was not going to put a new tensioner on it. my question woujld be,

1. is it possible to put the hydrolic tensioner on the newer motor? i see that the newer engine has the bolt holes where the hydrolic one would bolt to.

2. is it worth it to put on the older one in place of the hydrolic one

3. if i do put in the hydrolic one, should it need rebuilding? it has 140,000 mile on it.

the things that i noticed is that the tensioner pulley is smaller. it looks like i would need the longer timing belt to do this which is not a problem.

i don't see a reason to replace tensioner. the manual should last 70k miles with no problem. just replace tensioner along with the timing belt at normal intervals.
