New to family - 2000 S80

Everything on the Volvo S80. Sometimes called an "executive car", the S80 was Volvo's top-of-the-line passenger car. P2 platform.

Here are the pictures I should have posted at the beginning....

Currently have 3 check engine lights, I post up the numbers and search.

Idle is hunting/bouncing. Did some searches here and got scared looking at the throttle body cleaning/repair threads.

Sounds like a air leak near the driver left knee (left hand drive US model) especially when breaking.

Looking for a replacement leather type arm rest / center console cover. Original one is falling apart.

Audio upgrades, looking at replacing the stock stereo with an aftermarket unit with usb and bluetooth. Crutchfield shows a replacement faceplate available (i'm guessing a metra unit) anyone try the schoche faceplate, or recommend an alternative.

Sorry for all the questions, but I figured the pictures of the s80 might help me slide for a little bit!

Ok,

Pulled the check engine light codes

I'm getting.....

P0141 02 Sensor - Heater Circuit (Bank 1 sensor 2)
P0455 Evap Emission control - gross leak detected
P1132 Powertrain

Looks like I have some searching to do.

Hopefully adding an aftermarket stereo today..... keep your fingers crossed for me.

Thanks in advance for any help.

Headlight lo beam replaced with an H7 today...

Stereo installl went well today thanks to some threads here and on swedespeed.

JVC Arsenal KD-A815 headunit (bluetooth/usb/cd)
Crutchfield faceplate - I think I'd perfer a Volvo replacement cover, but hey it came with the headunit.

Added a Panavise 75139-399 custom dash mount, and a akron SM410 phone mount using a 17mm akron ball adapter.

Still need to fix the check engine lights, but at least my son will be enjoying his ride a little more.

Update....

My son has moved away to grad school in Minnesota.
He has left Volvomort (our nickname for the car) behind.

I didn't know if anyone would have some interest in a parts car.
It is still running fine, has the usual problems (brake hiss and security system battery drain).

But I'm going to look to sell it, I'd be willing to give anyone from this forum a really good deal.
I just want it out of the driveway now. (sorry if this is inappropriate location for this type of post).

Another source for rims is craiglist. If you aren't in a you should be able to find a set eventually. I had luck searching "volvo rims" when I was looking for a spare set.

I needed a new single rim for my s70 and just searched ebay. That worked too. It all depends on how much you want to pay and how much of a hurry you are in.
