1995 850 GLT.... Turbo?

yeah, i was just wondering how hard it would be to put a turbo in my non turbo 850

Harder than you want it to be. It'll be both easier and cheaper to just sell it and buy a turbo.

If you've still got your heart set on it, then see above, and swap over your whole interior. It'll be less trouble.

If you're really the kind of wrench-head that can't pass up a challenge, search around, others have talked about it.

What kcodyjr said, if you're intending on running it on the Volvo ECU, even swapping to the turbo ECU. Along with the obvious turbo and exhaust manifold, at least the entire engine side wiring harness will need to be swapped, all the intake tubing, intercooler, air box lid, coolant hard lines, oil pan, exhaust down pipe will need to be changed. Perhaps some other stuff I'm not thinking about at the moment.

Not to be a prick about it, but it's been my experience in helping out others that have started down similar paths, this is one of those cases where if you have to ask, chances are really good it will be over your head.

Also, financially speaking, unless you're planning on a big build at the same time where you would be replacing many of the factory turbo related parts anyways, as kcodyjr said, it will be cheaper (likely FAR cheaper) just to sell what you have now and buy a car that's already a turbo. The only way it could possibly be cheaper to swap a turbo into your own car is if you found a parts car for a few hundred bucks that you could use everything from and didn't need a bunch of stuff replaced which is highly unlikely at the few hundred mark.

If you want more power sell it and buy a turbo. There are a few basic modifications you can do to a non turbo but anything beyond that will be expensive for little benefit.
