Rear Seat Cup Holder, 2004 S60

Hello all

My kids managed to pop out the cup holder in the pull down arm rest between the rear seats. I have the plastic cup holder insert and a coiled piece of metal that I presume provides the tension to push in the tray in order for it to pop out. I cannot figure out how to reinstall the metal spring. Any suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks

I'm having the same problem. Did you figure out how to get it back in? I have that little coil that came out too.

Someone please help?

Does anyone know how to repair this? I am still having a problem and still haven't figured it out.

looking for this answer also. managed to pry the upholder out of the arm rest and now I'm left the plastic upholder itself and this metal coil that was floating around in the back.... anyone have any experience on how to fix this?

figured it out! the copper coil has a t shaped end. pull the cup holder completely out of the armrest. on the bottom of the hole that the cup holder retracts into, in the center front there are three plastic nubs. the t shaped coil fits in them with the coil facing up. then re align the cup holder with the rails and push in. voila!
