2002 S80 ac blower / drain

The ac blower on my 2002 Volvo s80 blows cold air through the ac vents just fine, until the evaporator ices (???) and then no air comes through. If I shut the ac down for a while, it then works well again. Is this due to an ac condensation drain problem, or something in the ac system controls? Where are the plenum chamber drains located.

it is because either the evaporator temp probe is defective or it is covered with crud making it insensitive to the temperature.
It is stuck into evaporator case above and to the right of accel pedal under dash. Has a green electrical connector.

I will dig around under the dash and see if I can find the ac probe. Is there an electrical test for the probe? :

i think we have the asme problem, i am not sure that the unit freezes.
did you find the cure?
