volvo 244 vacuum hoses Topic is solved

i am the proud owner of a 1983 volvo 244 GLE. i recently purchased and discovered what i think is a problem with the vacuum hoses. There is some kind of round plastic thing with heaps of hoses comeing out of it located near the battery. one of hoses seams to be missing. i also notest a hissing noise comeing from around the fuel injection body.

i purchased a volvo repair manual but found it wasnt much help. all it said was a hissing noise could indicate vacuum hose problems or a blow head gasket.

so any help into finding a diagram showing where the hoses should go or some directions from u people would be much appreciated

Hi Hahn, I have a repair manual from Volvo including those connections, the book is printed by Auto Info Publishing Ltd, Ireland. If you send me a private message I will try to take a picture and send it to you. The picture will show the connection for E/F motors 1981 - 1984. It is also mentioned that it can differ from country to country.
