Have you tried to change the crank sensor? I just had a similar issues with my 92 940 turbo. Changing the crank sensor was my last hope before I was going to throw in the towel. Sure enough once I changed it the car has always started no problem.

btw its not that hard to change. I believe its a 10mm bolt.

I am having the exact same problem with my car. It is driving me nuts! Did you ever get yours fixed? If so, what did you do?
