Won't start after reaching normal running temp

Post by zavedel »

I have a '97 850 turbo sedan. It won't restart once it has reached normal running temperature. It just turns over, but no start. I have verified spark and tried to t/s for fuel issues by introducing starter fluid, but no help. It runs fine and stays running when I start it from cold .

I'm willing to bet this one's a bad coolant temperature sensor.

Replace the thermostat at the same time - use an OEM part for both; these cars don't like aftermarket parts.
