Questions with pictures 90, 240.

If you know me you know I am brand new to the 240 I just got but no stranger to Volvo's. Below are some pics I took (with phone) and some questions. If anyone can help me out. I will appreciate it.

This is all for now. I have another wire i need to photograph, its kind of underneath the coolant overflow can and it slipped my mind, but it can be seen in the last picture all the way to the left of the photo w/ wire looms running around it.

Hello .. that last pic shows the blue connector near the windshield fluid tank. On my 1990 240 that blue connector goes to one of the two pumps on my tank. I see yours only has one pump.

Vacuum pump white port is the pressure port - not used
Hood light connection - not sure
Fitting at top of airbox - not used and is blocked off in you application
Ac connection - Yes that is an A/C port - Can tell R12 vs 134a as fitting sizes are different R12 is smaller than R134a. 1993 was first year cars were required to be 134a from factory.
Yes- The auto trans cooler lines are blocked off because you have a manual transmission
Blue connector- not sure others will chime in

The unit on top of firewall with unused white port is the cruise control vacuum regulator/pump. It is that same part they put below battery on 850/s-v-c70 and elsewhere on some of the others.
Green wire is another unused wire, it may have been for underhood on earlier models with that feature.

red wire is starter connection for service. If you want to "bump" engine over with starter as you might do when adjusting valves, you apply 12V to that lead.

I think it may have been deleted by 90 year model, but there is likely a couple of unused wires over inboard of left fender behind battery.

The a/c fitting you pictured is high side on line to receiver drier, no charging there. It is an odd fitting used in production for charging into high side with a/c off and is not a fitting any regular a/c equipment will fit onto. Look on compressor and see if fittings there have added adapters to see if it has been fitted with R-12.

Someone installed an auto trans radiator and block off the ports with old cooler lines cut with diagonal cutters or bolt cutters.

The blue connector is for second washer pump for rear washer on wagons but is in harness for all 240's sedan or wagon.

Why do I only have one pump? Should I have two? Or is the second one for the wagon version?

Okay, my car has the cruise control option, but it wont work. I would like to get it working though for MPG improvement on longer trips.

This car has an under hood light, but the plastic cover is broken and I found it in the glove box, and I never found anything else like maybe a button or switch to turn it on, the piece that the light bulb would mount to on one side is still screwed in there as well. So maybe this green wire is for a light?
