will my code reader work on a volvo xc90? It is the actron. I hooked it up and it said the car passed but the dash was showing anti-skid problems. Why will it not pick that up?

The generic code readers will only read powertrain module codes... there are numerous modules on the OBD II bus, but unless you have a more expensive code reader, you won't be able to read out all the codes.
