850 Question
850 Question
I have just bought a 1993 850 wagon and reading up at a couple of sites I found an indication that the oil filter has a protective shield or cover etc. (it does look a bit vunerable where it is !!), mine does not have one, can anyone shed any light this subject ???

Not sure what the need would be. The oil filter, fuse box and CPS are among 3 of the esiest parts to access on an 850. I'd skip it.

850s have no protection for the oil filter, and from what I've read, don't really need it.
In other words, I've never read of anyone losing oil from a damaged (road debris-damaged) filter.
