Here's a question for everybody out their in Volvo land....As I understand it, and correct me if I'm wrong, if that sensor is replced does it have to be codes somehow from volvo before it will work? I'm asking because so far I haven't had any problems with mine (knocking on wood) but if (when) I do, can I just replace a part like this and call it a day or is this something that does require that I bring it in to have them re-code it? Or can I buy a VIDA/Dice setup to do it?

BlackXC90T6AWD and Glen, I wish I knew if a pedal sensor was in the CEM loop and needed mating or not. But I do not. A handful of people do know on this board and perhaps one will pop in.

well interestingly enough it wasnt the ETM it was the A/C compressor clutch it crapped out. causing the ECM fuse to blow which also controls the ETM. this left me stranded but i'm glad that it caused the fuse to blow cause i would have caused engine damage driving.
