850 dies while driving

ok guys thanks for your time i have a 1994 volvo 850 4 door sedan.my problem is my car dies out on me when im driveing with all the hassle to coast to a safe spot ill have to put in (n) to get it started.sometimes that does not work ill have to wait or even let it set over night to get it started.people i talked to say it might be the brain of the car..im just trying to see if any of u guys know these issues...all help will be helpful thanks.

Hi Bass is Truth--
Various faults can cause this, but off the top of my head I would check if the fuel pump relay is working (when you try to restart the car, do you hear the fuel pump engage briefly when the key it turned to Ignition). A I would check for clean and tight connections at the B+ cable at the positive battery terminal connection, as well as at the starter and alternator connections.

all the conneitons are good idk what it is...but when i crank the car after it turns off all i hear is a fan going.im going to hook a obd sensor up to it sometime later today if that helps hopefully.

It's not the computer. Try the fuel pump relay - it's a very common failure item.

When it dies, remove the upper fuse panel and remove relay #103. Stick a piece of wire or paper clip in between pins 15 and 87 and see if the car comes back to life.

ok huys i got the problem i did the whole paper clip trick when it dies with the fuel pump relay and started right up going to buy a new one tomarrow!! thanks for the help!
