ok guys im trying to hook up a odb scanner to my car its a 1994 volvo 850 its not under the coin tray in front of the shifter any ideas.

1994 non-turbos don't have OBDII.

However, there is an OBDI port under the hood that will tell you EVERYTHING.

Read the codes from ports there (A2 and A6 if you have a check engine light).

In my opinion, the OBDI system works better because they are very easy to decode and you do not need to buy any tools to check them.
