Odometer quit working at 176,500 miles, speedometer works normally. My question is can a 1992 SW unit interchange with my 1991 Sedan?

Hey I don't know about interchanging between the two cars but I recently repaird my odometer with a new gear from IPD and it was very easy and straight forward. The added bonus was I was able to blow out the housing with air, then wash it in soapy water. I also dusted the gauge faces with one of my wife's make up brushes (don't tell her).
The whole unit looks like brand new and the everything works great.

sonny's suggestion is right on the money. You can do that yourself and the cost is significantly less than buying a used unit on ebay for example. I replaced mine along with the temperature circuitboard at the same tome and it is a pretty quick task.

As far as the ability of interchange from a 91-92, it is my beliefe that they are identical. As far as changing from a wagon to sedan, that should not be an issue either.

sonny...

How did you get the clear plastic face cover off? I wanted to that with mine and I could not figure how to separate it from the housing for a detailed cleaning.

Thanks
Eric
