My 99 C70 LPT (93k, just out of 10 year warranty) recently started having serious hesitation during acceleration. It's OK at idle, and OK if you floor it, but mid-range acceleration shows lots of hesitation. No error codes have shown up.
I got the ETM cleaned during a timing belt change, and it's better, but the hesitation still comes and goes.
Is the C70 covered by the XeMODeX rebuild? An earlier thread said no, but dunno if that's changed.
ETA: Never mind on this one, I just found their web site and will shoot out an email.
Is there anything else I should check before swapping the ETM?
Finally, is there a thread showing some pics of the ETM swap procedure? I'm pretty good mechanically, but don't like to dive in too deep. This looks like a pain to get out, but everyone says it's pretty easy.
Thanks for any assistance!
99 C70 ETM problems?
Clean it again and make sure it's right this time. Problem is the person you hired to clean it doesn't understand how sensitive it is to being really clean. See this (yours might have the stiff wipers like the ones in the link posted though)

Sounds like your ETM failing. Right on time too @ 90000. Although it sounds like its just beginning. I just reached 182000 and my second etm just failed. When you replace it you should replace your MAF as well.
