... I'm parting out a 2001 s80 ___NON-turbo.... 2.9L
It's in nice shape, 2-owner car,, was executive lease w/ maintenance included.

...NEVER in an accident. Original Florida car and NEVER been out of Florida
My Factory trained mechanic will carefully dis-assemble & ship.

Paint color : 446 Ash Gold pearl

Was ready to replace pin leak radiator & ETM went - can't afford to fix it so everything must go.
It starts & runs (ETM limp home mode)

Salvage yards just give you the exact part Only - if you need wires
clips nuts bolts etc I'll send them - no extra charge.

You don't part this out, that's totally absurd, it looks like a nice car
It would be helpful to post the mileage and post a complete set of pictures
(all around and the interior)
What else are you going to do?
If you can't afford $1500 or less for these two repairs what do you think you will buy?
$2000 doesn't buy you very much these days (carwise).

It 's a shame.
900 or so miles makes this too far away, otherwise I would make you an offer.
Anyhow post the miles and more pics I still may....

Are you nuts? I hope Jim gets this car before you start tearing it to bits.

You must really not like this car if a failed ETM and radiator is all it takes for you to part it out.

Sure go ahead & add insult to my misery... lol

About 128K miles, inside is nice, everything works,, leather console & drivers seat as usual showing wear but no tears,,
some door dings & very minor paint scrapes but the condition showing in the pic is exactly what the front, rear & other side look like,,,, & a true gauge of the overall condition in & out.

i'm wayyyy not happy selling it - the car is brilliant. 5-Star safety all the way around just for starters! But the sophistication of it does not bode well for a non-mechanical type like me. The local Dealer is of course un-co-operative about installing & upgrading the software on the ETM - (even tho its brand new OEM in the box) i guess i could probably beat the bushes & find someone to do it. I got a chance to talk to a mechanic while i was there & and he said the timing belt, alarm system, tranny & other software, o2s & such will all need work & upgrades over the next few years. i can't do the work & i wont use after market parts so $1200 ETM, $5-$600 radiator, o2 sensors & more to come - this is like the old Harley bikes - be a mechanic to own it haha
I understand that's the price of having an s80 - But - i have an '87 Allante (another love/hate car) - 88K miles- i've owned for 19 years that's reaching the same point. i can only put what has become very limited resources into 1 of them & gotta go w/ the Caddy.
So buy some parts so i can fix my Pearl White 2-seat convertible!!

I still think you're nuts.
You need to work with this dealer.
Just because they don't want to install your ETM, there's is no excuse for them not to be somewhat cooperative.
Explain to them you're broke...you need to pull someone aside and have a nice chat with them.
Work it out.

I almost bought a killer 01, sames as yours, with 118K that broke the timing belt for $800, missed it by about an hour.
Does yours have heated seats?
