Internal lights

Post by nigelb »

Hi

I've got bought a second hand V70, S reg, and in general its great.

However, the internal lights have a mind of their own!

I've found wobbling the switch by the rear view mirror (to turn all interior lights off) will normally get almost all the lights off, but occasionally a red light will stay on by a door, even when the door is closed!

Can someone tell me how all the interior lights are supposed to work?

I guess I'll need to put this into a Volvo garage to sort, but if it takes many hours to sort!!!!!

I'm open to ideas. (Currently considering simply removing bulbs!).

Cheers

Got the garage to remove the offending internal bulbs for the sec, while I get up the courage to attack the door locks, which apparently contain a microswitch that operates the internal lights ...

Why did Volvo have to be so clever, and not just use normal buttons like everyone else? At least the buttons fail off, not on ;-)
