Re: 2000 C70 with 80k on the odmeter, never had a CEL until TP change
Replaced TB, tensioner and idle pulley. Cams and crankshaft pulley alignment is prefect
Car has no issuses, after 4 days of driving CEL P0014 (exhaust cam timing) deleted code with my OBDII scanner
Three days later CEL again P0014,so every 3-4 days I get the CEL
I double checked the belt alignment, removed the crankshakt pulley again to check the alignment of the notch gears, prefect
I've put about 300 hundred miles on the car since the TB change, gas milege is the same ,oil level remains full.
Whats next ?
Thanks
I might add that I change oil every 5k, Mobil 1 10x30

With CVVT you need to alter the exhaust cam with a 6mm allen wrench to basically zero it.

This is for a '99 but it should be the same procedure for your 2000.

I may have confused myself while reading the procedure for a 2004. Let me dig into this a bit deeper.

On my '99 the head is coming off so much of that is moot and I will need to set the cams manually when I put it back together.

I have read other comments that indicate that the exhaust cam center nut should be pushed all the way in before removing the belt but I don't trust the sources.
