2001 S40 Hard Start in the morning

My 2001, s40 is hard to start in the morning. I have to restart it about 4 times before it turns over. It sounds like something is roaring in the rear and there is a smell, with white smoke coming from the tail pipe in the rear.

Should I change my spark plugs again, since my 2001, s40 is hard to start in the morning. There is a smell and white smoke coming from the tail pipe.
